Surface / Mud Logging:

unit

Surface and Mud logging monitors and evaluates formation while drilling using advanced computerized Mud Logging units. Experienced logging geologists and engineers are backed by advanced automated data logging system that can be configured to display and record sensor information in both depth and time based formats. Optional single or multiple network stations allow access to databases for analysis by individual users.

Application programs can be used, which output standard or custom displays in real-time or off-line as required.

Data Acquisition Software:

inside_unitClient software provides familiar Windows-based interface with high field reliability. Server-side features multitasking / multi-user real time operating system that runs on Unix platform. This integrated On-line / Off-line under the WIDE (Well Information Database Engine) installed on a Microsoft NT-4 / 2000 server with redundant disk array which is fault tolerant and has the ability to playback the whole well in 5 seconds and manage sidetracks, multi-laterals and multi-wells. Available data from the current or offset wells including Mud logging, Drilling, Wire-line and MWD data files may be imported into the depth base database for comparison.

Measured, calculated, imported and mutually entered data is available for plotting with facility for measured depth, true vertical depth and X – Y plots. Database parameters may also be exported in LAS, LIS, WITS and ASCII formats for use with other programs. The software also allows for real time and off-line hydraulic optimization, surge and swab calculations, sigma log report and real time / historic well control applications etc.

Hydrocarbon Analysis:

pit_sensorHP Total Chromatograph (THC) and Total Hydrocarbon Analyzers(THA) assures continuous analysis of Alkane gases with results outputted to Data Acquisition System every second. Fast analysis, with full C1 (Methane) and C5 (Pentane) sample breakdown in 40 seconds output to the Data Acquisition System. The Data Acquisition system and the application software use the chromatograph values to calculate C1 / Cn ratios, Gas wetness ratios, Light / Heavy ratios, Oil character qualifier, Average carbon number and Heavy carbon number, as well as Iso / Total fraction.

Enhanced chromatograph data can be displayed on a chart recorder.

Optional Gas Equipment includes:

  • Additional fast Chromatograph
  • H2S / CO2 Gas detectors
  • Combustible Gas detectors
